*Traditional format (3:2 ratio) used for photographs. Some photograph proportions differ and are sized to fit within this range.

Photographs
should not be exposed to excessive heat, sunlight, dust or humidity.
While prints are resistant to light fading there are practical limits.
Even where you live determines the strength of the sunlight hitting the
surface of the picture. But it's not a good idea to have them basking
for hours in the morning sunlight day after day or sitting above the
rice steamer. Framed photos can exist in places such as bathrooms but
please discuss location issues with your framer, as they will know best
how to advise you.
I only
use genuine Epson & Ilford papers and Epson Ultrachrome K3
pigment inks to guarantee
the quality and lifespan of my
photographs. Wilhelm Research (www.wilhelm-research.com)
is an
independent research group which tests various printer, ink and paper
combinations for longevity. Should you wish to review the products I
use, you can download a pdf file from this location:

condition a print is subject to
determines its lifespan, it is not unreasonable to expect a print to
last in excess of 80 years if cared for properly while displayed.
